Information: Clomifne citrate is not a steroid, although it is commonly associated with anabolic steroids. Clomifne citrate belongs to a class of drugs called Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators or SERMs with attributes that stimulate and increase the production of gonadotropins in the body. Gonadotropins are protein-based hormones that originate largely from pituitary cells and are essential for the proper functioning of the endocrine system.Due to its mode of action, Clomifne Citrate was developed for ovarian stimulation purposes, however, because it stimulates all gonadotropins, its use can go far beyond ovarian stimulation and is used by many athletes in the part of a post-cycle recovery plan.

Effects

The compound works by minimizing or blocking the effects of estrogen in the body and is used to overcome gyncomastia and increase the body's natural testosterone levels. It is a selective estrogen receptor modulator that increases gonadotropin production by inhibiting negative feedback to the hypothalamus.

In medicine, it is used to treat ovulatory dysfunction and polycystic ovary syndrome in women. The drug stimulates the release of hormones necessary for ovulation.

Clomifne citrate treatment should last at least 16 weeks
Average mod dose: men 25 mg/day
Average dosage: men 50-100 mg/day
Many athletes start at 100-150 mg/day (1st and 2nd weeks)
Women: Not recommended

Side effects

Allergic reactions to this medicine: difficulty in breathing, chest tightness, swelling of the mouth, skin rash, hives, itching of the face, lips or tongue.

Other side effects: nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, breast tenderness or discomfort, tenderness, pressure or swelling, flushing, headache or abnormal uterine bleeding, visual disturbances and mood changes.
